SEMINAR #1Astrid Shrubb & Monica Lockie

Presenter​ ​Biographies:

Astrid Shrubb: Astrid is a three-time Senior Dutch National Champion, three-time European Championship Competitor and a two-time World Championship Competitor. As a coach of over twenty years, Astrid is a Level III Certified Coach, with most courses completed for Level IV Certification. Astrid coaches both recreational and competitive skaters. As a Competitive Level Coach, Astrid has coached at the National Level as well as been a Junior National Team Coach from 1992 to 1994.

Monica Lockie: Monica Lockie is currently the Skating Development Director at Skate Canada. As a coach for over 30 years, Monica has developed athletes from CanSkate to National level and has experience in Singles, Pairs & Synchro. Before joining the Skate Canada staff, she was an instrumental part of the CanSkate revisions in 2012 and subsequently the creation of the STAR 1-5 program. Monica is currently a member of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAD) Board of Directors.
